THREAD LIFTING BY DR DUVE

Frauengesicht mit Krähenfüßen symbolisiert Behandlung mit dem Fadenlifting

As the years go by, the skin loses its elasticity. That’s just the way it is. However, not everyone wants to simply accept this fact – some people are even so bothered by the increasingly visible wrinkles that their self-confidence suffers. Thread lifting is a revolutionary method of treating wrinkles without surgical intervention. Cellulite, sagging cheeks and wrinkles on the décolleté, arms and legs can also be successfully treated with it.

Dr Duve has many years of experience and expertise, and he is considered one of the leading experts on thread lifting. To restore your youthful appearance and wrinkle-free skin, Dr Duve uses his thread lifting technique, which has been tried and tested over many years and is constantly being improved. His technique is based on the original thread concepts from Korea, where he has repeatedly shadowed experts in that field. You should expect downtime of two to seven days and can look forward to enjoying the result.

What is a thread lift?

A thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure to tighten the skin on different parts of the body. The treatment is clearly different from surgery, as the skin is only minimally injured and treated superficially. It does not require general anaesthesia or a hospital stay. Important: there are many highly diverse thread lifting techniques on the market. This also explains the very divergent treatment results and ratings, e.g. in social media. That is why the right technique, sufficient thread number, and the quality of the threads are so important. All of these things are very important to Dr Duve. During a thread lift, threads are inserted into the skin to ensure that the skin is tightened in the desired areas. A variety of threads are used, which are self-dissolving or permanent or a combination of both. Modern thread lifting is used for mild to moderate skin sagging. The threads also improve blood flow in the treated area, which in turn leads to a healthier complexion.

Who can benefit from thread lifting?

-

Thread lifting is generally suitable for all skin types, but it is mostly used for mild to moderate skin ageing or mild sagging. Patients who wish to improve their skin without undergoing surgery are usually particularly interested in this revolutionary method of skin rejuvenation. The risk is low – as long as you put yourself in the hands of an experienced doctor like Dr Duve. Furthermore, patients do not have to expect prolonged downtime, as they are ready to go back to their normal routine again shortly after the treatment.

Men and women are equally suitable for treatment. The following areas are particularly suitable for treatment:

  • Eyebrow lift
  • Sagging cheeks
  • Cellulite
  • Wrinkles on the neck, décolleté, arms and legs

Possible application areas for thread lifting are:

  • Cheeks
  • Double chin
  • Jaw
  • Neck
  • Décolleté
  • Eyebrows
  • Forehead
  • Temples
  • Nasolabial fold
  • Wrinkles at the corner of the mouth
  • Marionette lines

What treatment methods are available?

Dr Duve offers several thread lifting variations depending on the individual situation and recommendation. All of them are minimally invasive and do not leave visible scars. It is also a speciality of his to combine several variations.

Aptos method

The Aptos method and Aptos threads are one of the most successful and established thread techniques in the world. Their threads vary in shape and length. The threads can be absorbable, which means they dissolve and promise results of up to 18 months. Aptos threads provide support and lighten and firm the skin. The insertion of the threads does not cause any major injuries, as would be the case with a facelift, which also minimises the risk of side effects. The treatment is performed under local anaesthesia or in twilight sleep, and it takes about 40 minutes for experienced doctors to insert the stitches.

Soft lift

No inpatient stay, no anaesthesia, low risk. The advantages of the soft lift wrinkle treatment are also obvious. The threads have fine needles that are used for injection. They are gently placed under the skin, where they hold completely without anchoring in the tissue and break down after about seven to eight months. They provide results for up to three years.

Korean V-lift

The shape of the face changes over time. A youthful V-shape becomes a round face. The Korean V-lift gets its name from the fact that it can restore the youthful shape of the face. This method originated in Korea.

During the treatment, threads are inserted into the skin, which dissolve on their own after a few months. However, the result remains for another few months and can be refreshed time and again. With this method, the main focus is on a so-called lifting effect of sagging cheeks and chin line areas.

What should be considered before the treatment?

A thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure that is performed without invasive surgery and anaesthesia. Therefore, you do not need to prepare for – or be afraid of – the treatment in any particular way. However, Dr Duve recommends that you stop taking blood thinners around two weeks before the treatment to further reduce even a minimal residual risk. Please consult your attending physician about any potential chronic complaints and necessary medication. Of course, a detailed medical history will be taken beforehand.

How does thread lifting work?

If you are interested in a treatment by the experienced expert Dr Duve, he will first schedule a personal consultation with you. Dr Duve will use this consultation to find out about your wishes and expectations and to get an idea of your individual situation. You will have an opportunity to ask questions and be informed about risks and possible side effects. – – The procedure itself usually takes no longer than 45 minutes. During this time, the stitches are carefully inserted into your skin with the utmost concentration – without general anaesthesia and only with twilight sleep if you wish; otherwise, with local anaesthetic. Most patients find the treatment extremely painless. Afterwards, you can leave the practice immediately. For the first few days, Dr Duve recommends that you do not schedule any important appointments; also, avoid exercising and sunbathing. This is because swelling and bruising may occur.

What should I consider after the treatment?

You should take it easy immediately after the treatment, but you can go about your work as long as it is not physically strenuous. As a rule, you can continue your usual social activities again after five days (at the latest). Redness and swelling of the treated areas occur only very rarely and usually disappear very quickly.

How long does the healing take?

Although thread lifting is a minimally invasive procedure, it is a minor intervention in the body. Give your body time to heal. However, it will not take long. You can carry on with your usual social activities to a limited extent, but you should cool the treated area and refrain from strenuous physical activities for the first two days.

When will the result be visible?

Depending on the type of threads used, the result of a thread lift is instantly visible or with a slight delay. With most methods, the maximum effect is achieved after a few weeks and then lasts up to 24 months.

How much does thread lifting cost?

The cost of the treatment depends on the procedure and the respective area to be treated. In a personal consultation, Dr Duve will be happy to present you with all the costs that will be involved in your personal case. Generally, however, the prices for a thread lift start at EUR 1,500.

What are the risks?

Thread lifting is considered to be a very gentle treatment. Risks are extremely low – especially in the hands of an experienced doctor. However, there may be a temporary burning sensation in the treated areas, as well as slight swelling, redness and bruising. If you are unsure how normal everything is, you are welcome to contact Dr Duve. If you have any questions after a thread lift, you will always have the opportunity to contact him in the first few days.
